How do You know what a Sentence is ? You Will learn more about sentences later, but for now, you should know this definition :
A sentence is a group of words thats contains a subject and a verb and expresses a complete thought
These are sentences :
- He is a student.
- It's hot today.
- He looks tried
- Speed kills
- Where did you buy your new motorcycle?
These aree not sentences :
- Hot weather. (There is no verb)
- The Man bought. (This is not a complete thought)
- because it rained. (This is not a complete thought)
- Is very handsome. (There is no subject)
- Every night before dinner. (There is no subject or verb)
